NEW YORK (MarketWatch) — New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo on Sunday said the nation’s largest transit system would close, starting at 7 p.m. Eastern, as Hurricane Sandy, now the largest tropical storm in history, extending nearly 1,000 miles from its center, bears down on New York and New Jersey.
