{{{ Inter-UPDATES }}}
Couple of items to point out tonite - two market-related, one more "event-related" for the "3PM's" "brokers" and "money-managers" amongst you....
First, the two vertical columns below relate to some of Rick Santelli's report on rares and eco-conditions in the previous video feed. These represent on the left side - appearing about halfway UP this page in the left-hand nav-bar (and on the economy-related pages of the main Interconti Website) a Java-scripted (LIVE) feed from the "FRED" (Federal Reserve Economic Data) division of St Louis FED - a series of 10 current eco-data stats thought by most to provide a real-time snapshot of current economic conditions in these United States. I say "thought by most" because we've been operating under a largely artificially-generated economic weather front for so long now, some of these indicators quite literally don't remember how to act (or RE-act) to naturally changing stimulus in a "normal" economy. I make no judgement as to the validity of the "ZERO" interest rate policies employed for so long - God knows what might've befallen us all had they not been used. Just mentioning it before I forget to do so as I think it'll likely generate some confusion as these indicators react unexpectedly or foment unintended consequences in a populace facing a certain amount of generational amnesia on the issue.
So much for the left column, in the RIGHT, we see a graphic hypertext linkage to the new Interconti Interactive Fed Data Chartpage featuring (currently) TWELVE substantially larger FRED charts which we'll be adding to as time goes on and each respective dataset begins to react to the changing interest rate (not to mention "supply and demand") pressures on the "road back to normalcy".
Lastly for those of you who actually do this for a livelihood, is an updated 2014 Conference Matrix featuring the first two of this year's NIBA/CTA Expo/EMF events beginning with NIBA's Newport Beach Ca Meeting on 6th March (click the entry for detailed info, subject matter and online registration forms.
Same thing for CTA Expo in NYC on 29/30 April at the New York Stock Exchange. 165 registered as of my last report which is nearing capacity tor the assigned space at the NYSE Building, 2 Broad Street.
Keynote Speaker for this year is Peter Borish. Peter was a founding partner of Tudor Investment Corporation, CEO of Computer Trading Corporation, Chairman of OneChicago LLC., CEO of Twinfields Capital Management and is currently the Chief Strategist for Quad Capital, an incubator - proprietary trading group. Because of his 3 decades of experience in the financial futures and derivatives markets Peter has developed a unique perspective on asset management and alternative investing which he will share in his keynote address.
