Forclosure Flood coming our way?
Although I understand based on many of my comments you might consider me a "perma-bear". I certainly hope I'm not so one-sided in my views - sincerely try not to be - but I've been struggling for months now trying to figure out how the economy's going to manage working off all the foreclosure inventories in a jobless recovery wherein credit standards are far tighter than before and 120% loan-to-value ratios are as a long lost dream left over from the new testament (cetainly not the OLD testament). But I HAVE heard recent comments to the effect despite my failure to grasp the means, indeed inventories are being worked off.
Until yesterday that is when I caught a whiff of the research which obviously formed the basis of today's (below) video coverage on CNBC... Should Olick be right in her prognostication that foreclosed REO inventories could more than double in coming months, my gut feel that this recovery has just been too easy will unfortunately come to pass...
My biggest fear is that far from a recovery bounce, this summer may have simply been the "eye of the storm".

Banks have been holding on to their foreclosed properties for months, but now they're getting ready to release them onto the market, reports CNBC's Diana Olick.
